WILLIAM C. TAYLOR

BELLEFONTAINE - William C. Taylor, 77, retired farmer who had resided most of his life in Stokes township, died in his home near Lakeview Tuesday shortly after noon. He had been ill for two weeks and death came as he attempted to rise from bed about 11 a. m.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, in 1937, and by a daughter, Mrs. Abigail Dowden, in 1926. He had been cared for by three granddaughters, Misses Audrey, Martha and Eunice Dowden, who have made their home with him since the death of their mother.

Surviving Mr. Taylor are the following children: E. Hover Taylor and Horace Taylor, both of near Lakeview; Mrs. Byrle Fox of near Lakeview, and Mrs. Leah Kennedy of near Bellefontaine, and a brother, Rev. G. W. Taylor of Republic, Kan.

Funeral services will be held in the residence Friday at 2 p. m. in charge of Rev. G. W. McGarrity of Catawba. Burial will be made in the Plum Cemetery.
