Albert Duncan, 86, a resident of the European Hotel, died at 9:30 p.m. August 17, at the Grigg nursing home after an extended illness.
The son of James and Sarah Goodhall Duncan, he was born January 5, 1879 in Cedar County. He married Martha Jane McDaniel, and is survived by four sons and two daughters. Surviving sons are Edwin of San Diego, Calif., Harry of San Diego, William of Davenport, and Verne of San Diego. Daughters are Mrs. Basil (Thelma) Barry, of Bemidji, Minnesota, and Mrs. Ed (Ellen) Koby of San Diego. Other survivors are Sam, a brother from Tipton, and Mrs. George (Hazel) Yerington, a sister from West Branch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the George Wittich Funeral Home, with Rev. Caleb Larson the officiating pastor. Burial will be at the Rochester Cemetery.
