OBITUARY

Mrs. Clementina Dodd Taylor was born in West Virginia on August 18, 1835. She came with her parents to Indiana a few years later. She was united in marriage to Seaton Taylor in 1851.

To this union ten children were born, three of whom died in infancy, and Lewis, who died two years ago. Those who survive her are Sylvester and James of Diagonal, Iowa; Seaton, of Creston, Ia.; Mrs. Irene Shannon and Mrs. Rowell of Comstock and Mrs. Martha Webb, of Arcadia. Besides the children she leaves thirty grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

Mother Taylor united with the Christian church in early life and has always lived a conscientious, exemplary life. Her desire for her children was that they might live uprightly before all men.

Her early married life was filled with privation and hardship. Her husband died in Iowa about twenty-five years ago. Since coming to Nebraska she has made her home with Mrs. Rowell at Comstock. She leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure. After a long illness she peaceful passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Webb, Tuesday evening, June 23, aged 90 years 10 months and 4 days.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Arcadia on Thursday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, W. A. Alcorn, and the body laid to rest in the cemetery at Arcadia.
