Ida was the daughter of Seaton Ray and Clementine (Dodd) Taylor. She was born near Hopeville, IA and died at her home in Woods Park, NE. Ida moved to Nebraska from Iowa with her parents, settling on a farm between Sargent and Comstock. She married Caleb Calvin Rowell on Oct. 17, 1889. The couple moved to Woods Park, NE. where she lived continuoulsy for over 62 years and was one of the oldest settlers in Woods Park. Children; Charles A., Minnie (Hackell), and John E.
