HARRIS, ELSIE DELATTE A native and resident of Denham Springs, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Dixon Hospital, Denham Springs. She was 93. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2004. Visitation at Gray's Creek Baptist Church, Denham Springs, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Carl Sullivan. Burial in Felder's Cemetery. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Barbara Harris, Denham Springs; three sisters, Ethel Reeves, Stella Dugas and Nettie Felder, all of Denham Springs; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Alton E. and Willie Mae Delatte, Forest and Ruby Delatte and Delores DeLatte, all of Denham Springs; three granddaughters, Lisa Harris Baker, Lori Harris Smith and Debra Harris Casey; two grandsons, Kevin and Don Harris; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Juanita Adkins and her husband, Doug of Baton Rouge; a close family friend, Francis Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Ransom Harris; a son, Alton Ray Harris; a grandson, Clifford Randall "Randy" Harris; parents, John and Virginia Delatte; three half-sisters, Louella Cook, Mary Tyler and Adriene Comeaux; a half-brother, Bernard Delatte; three sisters, Angeline Hooper, Lilly Paline and Bertha Crowder; and four brothers, John, Wickliffe, Jim and Ellis Delatte. Pallbearers will be Heath Baker, Michael Smith, Kevin Harris, Mitchell Crowder, Cline Hooper and Morgan Dugas. She was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church, Denham Springs.
