Cy A. Evans' Services Held
Cy A. Evans, retired El Reno businessman of 415 South Roberts, died Wednesday night at Park View hospital.
Mr. Evans born March 23, 1883, at Marshall, Tex., came to El Reno from Terrell, Tex., June 6, 1916, to establish the Evans dry cleaning plant, which he owned and had operated with his son, Robert J, Evans, 600 South Macomb.
Mr. Evans, who was a member of the El Reno Kiwanis club, also was a member of the First Baptist church and the El Reno Golf and Country club and had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to the son, include two grandchildren, Ann Evans and Bobby Evans, both of 600 South Macomb, and a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Roy Faubion, 1019 East Cavanaugh.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist church with Dr. W. F. Staton, pastor, and the Rev. Westin, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be In the El Reno cemetery under direction of the Benson funeral home and the body will lie in state until 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Benson funeral home.
