Vernie was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Catchings and his wife Margaret Louise Duce Catchings. She married Cyrus Augustus Evans Sep 9, 1907 in Williamson County, Texas. She and Cyrus were the parents of three sons. Sadly, she was preceeded in death by two of her sons, Cyrus Augustus, Jr, and Billy J. Evans. She leaves her husband of over 50 years and her son Bob Evans, and grandchildren, Ann and Bobby Evans, as well as an extended family and so many friends who mourn the loss of this lovely lady.
