Deceased Name: Alfred Reed Jensen
TWIN FALLS - Alfred Reed Jensen, 82, of Twin Falls passed away March 30, 2007, at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Reed was born to Alfred and Ethel Jensen on March 2, 1925, in Westin, Idaho. On March 7, 1947, he married his sweetheart, Verla Radford, in Logan, Utah, and they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Reed and Verla started their family in Westin and later moved to Pocatello, Idaho. They then moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where they have lived the majority of their lives together and have many great memories with family and friends. He loved camping and fishing with his grandsons and other family.
Reed was known as a man of integrity and generously gave his time to help others. A master carpenter, Reed loved his work and his legacy of his craft of building homes and carpentry work will be remembered. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific Theater in the Navy for four years and loved his country. Reed was a member of the LDS church and served with love and care. His strength of character and quiet service will be remembered and missed.
He is survived by his wife, Verla; his three children, Janet of Twin Falls, Becky LaMay of Boise, Idaho, and John of Twin Falls.
He is also survived by his brother, Perry (Pat) of Twin Falls, and Carol (Jerry) Strickland of Wendell; six grandsons, Eric, Ian, Andy, Ben, Joe and Wesley; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the Twin Falls 5th Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 421 Maurice N. Inurnment will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the Westin Cemet-ery.
A special thanks to the wonderful and caring people at Idaho Home Health and Hospice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.
