WAYCROSS – Jasper (Jap) H. Jones, 85, of 811 Colquitt St., died Monday at his home following a long illness.
A native of Brantley County, Jones lived in Waycross most of his life. His wife was the late Mrs. Cassie Stapleton Jones.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. F. L. Hutchison, Mrs. Vera Walters, Charleston, S.C.; four sons, Jim and Same Jones, Waycross, W. W. Jones, Cape Charles, Va., Hoyt E. Jones, Baltimore, Md.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Miles-Odum Funeral Home. Burial will be I Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
