Edward Francis Jutz passed away Nov. 28, 2007, after a long, hard-fought four-year battle with cancer.

Ed was born in Brighten Township, Nicollet County, Minn., on Aug. 21, 1936, but has been a longtime resident of Laurel.

He married the love of his life, Loretta Anderson, on Jan. 2, 1959. They had four wonderful children: Jeanne Schweigert, Elaine Odeen, Teresa Jutz and Dean Jutz.
Ed retired as a teacher from the Billings Career Center and was a retired Reserve Police Officer. He was a member and past president of the Retired Teachers Association.

Ed loved to hunt with his son, Dean; son-in-law Fran Schweigert; and grandson, Tyler Schweigert. His favorite hobbies were gardening, woodworking, camping, traveling, collecting John Deere tractors and, especially, being with his family.

Ed is survived by his wife, Loretta; three daughters, Jeanne (Fran), Elaine (Tom), Teresa; one son, Dean (Tammy); seven grandchildren, LeAnne (Larry), Laurie, Jennifer (Ryan), Jenny, Tyler, Robin, and Justin; four great-grandchildren, Anna, Briana, Bailey and Micah.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Baechler and Nicholas Jutz; sister Mary; and granddaughter, Kymberly Schweigert.

Ed was an amazing person and will be truly missed by all that knew him.
