Eugene "Gene" Nicholas Jutz, 78, passed away on May 3, 2017. Gene was born on August 13, 1938 in Nicollet County, MN to Nick and Frances (Baechler) Jutz. Gene loved being outside whether it was fishing, hunting, or going to the livestock auctions in Jones. He came from a large family and always enjoyed spending time with them. Gene was a collector of old farm skilled models, fishing poles, and rifles. As a past-time, he would go to the casinos and enjoying playing the slot machines.

Gene preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary Roskos and Edward Jutz.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Jutz; daughters, Jeanna Seright and Kathy Ensley and husband Allen; grandchildren, Brad McMichael and wife Lauren, Mindy Davis and husband Mike, Destiny Cummins and husband B.J., and Jamie Terbush and husband Jade; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Levi, Kaytlin, Stormie, Cheyenne, Mike Jr., Cooper, Cara, and Crew; siblings, Louise Gag and husband Roy, Barbara Bartsch, Charles Jutz and wife Kathy, Betty Manthey, Doug Jutz and wife Cathy, Kenny Jutz and wife Sue, Carol Doering and husband Jerry, and Monica Albers and husband John; brother-in-law, Ron Jones and wife Vickie; special "hand warmers", Pepper and Baxter; and numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday May 12, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow at the Jones I.O.O.F Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Jones F.F.A or Hollis F.F.A in Gene's name.
