Thomas Leonard Cassidy, 79, died Friday, October 13, 1989, at the Community Hospital in Watervliet, Mich.

Son of the late Thomas Leonard Cassidy Sr. and Flora Eva Ballard Cassidy, he was born September 26, 1910 at Cooter, Mo.

He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and Benton Harbor Lions Club, and was an Elementary School Principal in the Benton Harbor Area School.

On August 24, 1934, at Steele, Mo., he married Mildred Overturf.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, five sisters, and two brothers.

Mr. Cassidy leaves his wife, Mildred Cassidy, of Coloma, Mich.;
One son, Thomas L. Cassidy, of St. Joseph, Mich.; and
A brother, Parker Cassidy, of Clinton, Iowa;
Two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dr. Donald Campbell conduced funeral services Sunday, October 15, 1989, at 2:00 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Watervliet.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 17, 1989, at 10:00 a.m. at Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter by Rev. Thomas Zych.

Kerley & Starks Funeral Homes of St. Joseph was in charge of arrangements, assisted by Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele.
