Last rides will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. for one of the older citizens of Blytheville, Mrs. Flora Eva Cassidy, widow of Tom Cassidy at the First Baptist Church by the Rev. E.C. Brown.

Mrs. Cassidy, 71, died in the Blytheville Hospital early this morning, after having been ill for about three weeks.

Mrs. Cassidy, who was living at 123 East Kentucky, at the same place where her husband died in 1943, came to Blytheville in 1931, but has made her home in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri since she was married in 1894, She was born in Newburg, Ind., but came with her folks to Cooter, Mo., when she was very young. She has been an active member of the Baptist Church for many years.

The late Mr. Cassidy had operated a farm near Huffman before he came to Blytheville, where he was a Justice of the Peace here for many years. Since his death Mrs. Cassidy had made her home with a daughter, Miss Clara Cecil Cassidy.

Other survivors include two other daughters, Mrs. George Bennett of Urbana, Ill., and Mrs. Fay Brewer of Deering, Mo., and four sons, Leon Cassidy of St. Louis, James L. Cassidy of Deering, Mo., Leonard Cassidy of Wardell, Mo.; a brother, Floyd Ballard of Carutehrsville, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Harold Zimmerman, of Ada, Okla.

Burial will be at the No. 8 Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home.
