HAVEN - Florence J. Popp, 83, died April 28, 1982, at Mount Hope Nursing Center, Mount Hope, after a long illness. Born Florence Astle Feb. 22, 1899, at Haven, she married Walter E. Popp May 9, 1918, at Haven. He died Nov. 4, 1941. She was a cook and housekeeper and a lifetime resident of Haven.
Survivors: sons, Harry, Haven; Harlan, Kingsdown; daughters, Joan Engweiler, Haven; Joyce Pfanschmidt, Burke, VA; sister, Alice Stagg, Haven; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cantwell Chapel, Haven; the Rev. Ken Anderson. Burial at Laurel Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call from 4 until 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the chapel. Memorials to Haven Ambulance Fund or American Cancer Society.
