The death certificate for William Aaron Burleson indicated that at the time of his death he had been a retired farmer and employee of the street department. He was 81, his wife Nora had preceded him in death and he was residing at 1121 James street in Carthage, MO.
s/o William Burleson and Betty Mills.
His death occurred at McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage and was attributed to Acute myocardial failure and Mesenteric Thrombosis [see note below]
He was buried in the Avilla Cemetery under the direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home on January 21, 1965.

Note: Mesenteric venous thrombosis occurs when a blood clot forms in one or more of the major veins that drain blood from your intestines. This condition is rare, but it can lead to life-threatening complications without prompt treatment.
