MRS. ANNA CARLETON DIES AT HOME IN GARY
Mrs. Anna Carleton, 75, widow of James Carleton, former Elwood resident, died at her home in Gary last night at 10 o'clock, of heart trouble.
The family formerly resided here and is well known, Mrs. Carleton was a highly esteemed woman, one who enjoyed an unusual wide acquantance.
Her husband died about two years ago and she is survived by six children, Ollie Carleton, of Muncie; Mrs. Martin Nicholson, of Tipton; Mrs. Harry Stringfellow, of Gary; Walter Carleton of Chicago; Mrs. Myrtle Alford, of Kansas, and Harry Carleton, traveling salesman.
The body will arrive in Elwood on the 1:26 a.m. Pennsylvania train Wednesday morning and will be removed to the Clark chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Protestant church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. J. C. Coons, and burial will be made in the city cemetery.
