Genevieve A. Deeters, 81, of Farmer City, died July 4, 1992 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. Funeral services were held at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City with burial in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco.
She was born Sep. 30, 1910 at Farmer City, a d/o William G. and Ida R. Clary Shell. She married J. Marion Deeters on March 16, 1955 at Springfield. He survives along with a stepson, John of Dallas; step-daughter, Donna Lee of Dallas; and a sister-in-law, Marie Shell, of Clinton. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Mrs. Deeters received a bachelor of education degree from Illinois State Normal University in 1932. She was an elementary and high school teacher in the Putnam, Danvers and Farmer City areas from 1933 to 1941. She was a partner in Shell Motor Sales at Farmer City from December 1949 to 1979. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Farmer City and the Junior Woman's Club of Farmer City.
