Funeral services for Rev. A. C. Watkins, 85, of Keltys will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. A. D. Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Rev. Watkins died Sunday at his residence after a long illness. Born July 9, 1871 in Huntsville, he had lived in Keltys for the past 32 years. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, the Order of the American Woodmen and the Community Aide Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Watkins; sons, Mathew Watkins, Jerry Watkins, A. C. Watkins, Jr. and Fornell Watkins, all of Seattle, Washington; step-sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Troy of Longview and Mrs. Maggie Hawthorn of Keltys; sisters, Mrs. Jim Purte of Houston and Mrs. Vida Jackson of Kansas City, Missouri; brothers, Thomas Watkins and Mark H. Watkins of Washington, D.C. and Jeff Watkins of Ohio, and Walter Watkins and Welburn Watkins of Houston; 6 grandchildren.

The East Texas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
