Urbana Daily Courier, February 20, 1912--War Veteran is Summoned
The death of Samuel Clary, brief mention of which was made in Monday's Courier Herald, occurred at 3:40 o'clock that afternoon at his home, 904 W. Park street, Champaign. The deceased was born in Essex, England, June 11, 1843, and came to America when 16 years old.
He was a Civil war veteran and a member of the Mansfield G. A. R. post. He leaves widow and eleven children. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the home, with Rev. Mr. Goodman officiating, and the G. A. R. members acting as pall bearers. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
