Sarah Catherine Hyde, 69, was a native of Polk County and had spent her entire life in this immediate area. She was the widow of J. H. Hyde who passed way in September 1951. Surviving were five sons, L. B. and Clarence of McCaysville; David, Baltimore; G. W., Front Royal, Virginia; J. T., of Ducktown; and two daughters, Miss Jessie Hyde, McCaysville, and Mrs. Anna Mae Hubbard, New Haven, Connecticut; a sister, Mrs. Tom Hyde and brother, George Barnes of Copperhill.

She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where funeral services were conducted by the Revs. Davidson, Long and Galloway.

*** Although she died at the E. TN Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, she resided in Frytown, Fannin Co GA.
