Emily Danner White, 77, of Wytheville, died Thursday, September 2, 1999 in the Wythe County Community Hospital.

She was born in Wythe County, the daughter of the late James Harrison and Pearl Thacker Danner.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin R. "Ranny" White; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Randolph and Brenda White of Richmond, Va., James Harrison "Jim" and Kim White of Raleigh, N.C.; two grandchildren, Dawn White of Richmond, Va., Emilyn White of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Ethel Ayers of Wytheville, Va., numerous special friends including Annie Reynolds and Irene Lyons.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 5, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel in Wytheville. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery. The family received friends at the Barnett Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and at the residence at any time.

The family suggested that those who prefer make memorials to the Wythe County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 389, Wytheville, VA 24382. Barnett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
