Carlton Byrd, 90, Live Oak, FL passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012 after a long illness. The Jasper. Fl native lived most of his life in Live Oak, owned Byrd Painting in Live Oak for 40 years and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mr. Byrd was also a WWII Veteran while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his son: Vernon & Betsy Byrd, Live Oak, Fl; one sister: Jimmie DuPre, Jacksonville, Fl; two grandchildren: Stacey & Donnie Bullock, Bradley C. & Amy Byrd, both of Live Oak, Fl; four great-grandchildren: Jason Bullock, Rachael Bullock, Alexis Byrd and Leigh-Anna Byrd.He was preceded in death by his wife:Johnnie Lucille Landen Byrd Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 12th at Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Godwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Orange Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 11th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak.
