Lucille Hirons, 95, of Peck died November 29, 2011. She was born June 5, 1916 to Charles and Mary Belle (Wilson) Hunt. Lucille married George Hirons July 17, 1937.
Lucille was a farmer as well as a dairy farmer's wife, milking a large herd of cows into her 80's, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by three daughters, Eva Belle (Walter) Pathic, Peck, Joann (Ben) Steinhoff and Brenda (Tom) Murray of Melvin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Gerald (Carolyn) Pathic, Lou Ann (Steve) Krzak, Eva Jean (Lyle) Hunt, Laura (Steve) Ball, Mike, Matt, Melissa Steinhoff, Michelle (Ryan) Hack, Cathy and Bill Murray, Kelly (Wayne) Smith; eight great-grandchildren, Gerald & Andrew Pathic, Karl, Scott, Brandy, Bradley, Taylor and Ryan; three sisters, Nora Elston, Erva (Bill) Maitland and Julia Smith and a sister-in-law Pat Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George and a two brothers Elmer & Glenn Hunt.
Funeral Services were held Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Carmen Funeral Home in Brown City.
Aunt Lucille was a wonderful, kind, hard working woman and is remembered by all for her gentleness. Her cooking and baking was great too!
