She was born Aug 4, 1935, in Elkhart to Eldon and Anna Mae (Lusher) Madlem. She was formerly married to William Mazurkiewicz.
He survives, along with four daughters,one son, 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Roberta Grist and Dorothy Folker; and one half-brother, Wayne L Madlem.
Friends my call two hours prior to the 1 pm Friday funeral service at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 W Franklin St, Elkhart. Pastor Dave Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Miss Mazurkiewicz was a cook at Joe and Eddie's for 23 years, and prior to that, was a cook for the Cottage Inn. She was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge. She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her family and was an avid Elvis fan.
