Minnie A. Overturf the daughter of Henry and Frieda (Johnson) Hokom was born April 3, 1915. Minnie departed this life on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the Sutton Community Home in Superior.

Minnie received her formal education at District #52 in Fillmore County; Ong High School and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Minnie was baptized, confirmed and professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, in the Swedish Methodist Church in Ong; NE. Minnie was a lifelong member of the Ong Methodist Church.

On August 25, 1933, Minnie was united in marriage to Roger Overturf, in the Wesley Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE. This marriage was blessed with the birth three children: Virginia, Jimmie and John.

She is preceded in death by: parents, husband Roger, son Jimmie, sisters Linnea Curtis, Edith Hartford and Ruby Reisenbigler; brother Lester Hokom and 3 brothers and 1 sister all of whom died in infancy.

Survivors are: brother Lennard Hokom of Spokane, WA; daughter Virginia Moore and husband James of Edgar, NE; son John Overturf ad wife Diane of Edgar, NE; and daughter-in-law Pam Overturf; grandchildren: Ann McCord (Monty); Patrick Moore (Kim); Mina Nutter(Brett); Jerry Overturf (Becky); Cory Overturf (Tanya Steele); Connie Buescher (Jeff) and Craig Overturf (Thayer. great grandchildren: Walker Moore; Ethan Nutter; Marrissa Nutter; Jacob Nutter; Ashley Overturf; Emily Overturf; Tara Overturf; Taylor Buescher; Trevin Buescher; Jackson Oveturf; nieces, nephews other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Burial was in the Chapel Grove Cemetery.
