Chester Roberts, 91, entered into rest November 13, 2008. He has been a faithful member of Norwood Baptist Church for over 50 years and proudly served as a Deacon. He retired from American Baking Company after 40 years of dedicated service.
Chester is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Roberts Krueger and is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Colleen Vining Roberts; his son, Adair Roberts; his daughter, Jeanne Roberts Green; his sister, Thelma Roberts Tompkins; his brother, J.D. Roberts; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, a host of friends and a loving extended family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11:00am in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery and all guests are invited to join the family for lunch at Norwood Baptist Church after the services.
