Enterprise Newspaper, September 5, 1968:

Mrs. Myrtle S. Rogers, 78, a resident of Silver City for 53 years died Saturday at Hillcrest General hospital in Silver City.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Van Buren County, Ark., and was the widow of the late James E. Rogers.
(Born 4 September 1890 per Social Security Admin.)

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Faye Botts, of Escondido, Calif.; a brother, Arvin Boone of Anthony; two sisters, Mrs. Bess Webster of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Mabel Grigar of Houston Tex.; and five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services were conducted in the Curtis Mortuary Wednesday, by Mr. Albert Botts of the Church of Christ Escondido, Calif., assisted by Mr. Eugene Clapp of the Church of Christ, Silver City. Burial services were in Memory Lane Cemetery.
