Elizabeth Lemmon 1915 - 2012

Elizabeth Lemmon, 97, of Greeley, Colo., formerly of Payson, Ariz., died June 20, 2012 in Greeley, Colo.
A viewing will be at 7 p.m., Friday, June 29 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 901 S. Westerly Road. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 30, with a funeral following, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 913 S. Ponderosa St., Payson. Burial will be at Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
Mrs. Lemmon was born Jan. 30, 1915 in Pima, Ariz. to Mary Alice and Richard Beals. Mrs. Lemmon retired from U.S. West after 22 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Janiece Maddux of Casa Grande, Ariz. and Lorraine Lobato of Greeley, Colo.; son, Bud Powell of La Feria, Texas; three sisters, Cleedeth Baker of Yuma, Verona Carter of Cottonwood and Bonnie Byrd of Snowflake. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy J. Lemmon; brother, Kenneth; and sisters, Grace, Marvel, Ercel, Maude and Richalene.
