Mrs Susanna Guy Succumbs to Pneumonia Tuesday

Death Tuesday, due to pneumonia, claimed Mrs Susanna Guy, mother of Edward Guy, a farmer living one and one-half miles south of St Anthony. Mrs Guy's death occurred at the home of her son, and followed an illness of five days. Mrs Guy would have been 70 years old had she lived another day.

Mrs Guy was born Susanne Wyckoff in Fairfield county, Ohio February 12, 1843. She became the wife of R M Guy and settled at Bloomington, Illinois where Mr Guy died in 1880. Fourteen years ago Mrs Guy came to this county to make her home with her son. She also has a daughter, Mrs Mary E Easton, who lives at the Guy home, and a step-daughter, Mrs Ida Williams, of Seymour, Missouri. Two sisters and two brothers are living, in the persons of Mesdames E W Singloss and C A Larimer of Arrowsmith, Illinois, David S Wyckoff of Brookings, South Dakota and John Wyckoff of Bloomington, Illinois.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Christian Church at St Anthony, Rev Albert Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Clemons cemetery.
