A member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church, she attended Blytheville High School and Cotton Boll Vo-Tech School and had formerly worked as a nurses aide.
Mrs. Land leaves her father, Frank Handley, of Advance, Mo.; Her mother, Jennie Yoakum, of Benton, Mo.; One daughter, Tyfney Cook, of Steele, Mo.; and Two sisters: Brenda Shipp of Benton and Freda Westbrook of Blytheville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Land were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2000 at the mausoleum chapel in Dogwood Cemetery, with Rev. David Craig officiating.
Burial was at the Dogwood Cemetery with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.
