Lenell Sliger, age 51, of Rising Star, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will held be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Cross Plains with Pastor Ronnie B. White officiating assisted by Dwaine Clower; burial will follow in the Ferrill Cemetery in Comanche County.
She was born on October 19, 1960 in Gorman to Clarence and Nelda (Smith) Evett. She married at the end of her junior year and graduated in 1979. She married David Sliger on June 2, 1978 in Comanche. She was employed by the General Dollar Store and Cross Plains ISD as well as owned and operated Cross Plains Petroleum at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband David Sliger of Rising Star; sons, Roy Claren Sliger and wife Stacey of Burleson, Christopher Sliger and wife Cassie of Tye, and Cody Joe Sliger of Odessa; brother, James Evett of Comanche; parents, Clarence and Nelda Evett of Sidney; father-in-law Roy Sliger of Sidney; three grandchildren, Kirstin Deshaye, Caleb Deacon and McKenna Breann; as well as a host of friends that will miss the beauty of her smile.
