He retired from Georgia Ports and the Railroad.
He was a member of Tremont Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors are: his wife, Mariah Benemon, three sons, James Benemon (Charmain), Keith Benemon, and Kevin Benemon, four daughters, Samala Praylow (John), Sabrina Bellinger (Robert), Demeil Deas (John), and Natarsha Tremble (Andre), one sister, Betty Harris (Robert), one brother, Horace Benemon (Juanita), 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Tremont Temple Baptist Church 1110 M. L. King, Jr. Blvd. Savannah, GA Rev. Quentin J. Morris, Sr., Pastor. Interment ~ Woodville Cemetery.
