Deresa (Berry) Thompson, 1842 ~ 1915. Deresa Thompson was born April 26, 1842 and died November 9, 1915 in Lawrence County, KY. She was a daughter of Thompson Berry and Lavinia Salyers. Deresa married in Lawrence County on August 4, 1859 to Isaac "Ike" Pack Thompson, a son of Wesley Thompson and Esther Pack. Deresa and Ike were buried in the Thompson Cemetery which was relocated to the Yatesville Memorial Cemetery during the Yatesville Lake Project.

Mrs. Deresa Thompson, mother of Judge T. S. Thompson, of this city, died Tuesday, Nov 9, at her home on Rich Creek, this county. the funeral occurred at the Milt Thompson place on the following day. The services which were numerously attended were conducted by the Rev. William Copley. Mrs. Thompson had suffered long from the infirmity of age and died at the age of 74 years. Mrs. Thompson was a great woman and neighbor, highly respected by all who knew her. She was the daughter of Thompson Berry and the widow of Isaac Thompson.
