Holton - Mrs. Mabel E. Renfro, 81, Mayetta, died Sunday at a hospital here. She was born May 14, 1892, in the Rock Creek community in Jefferson County, the daughter of Jefferson and Rosa May Way.
She has lived in Mayetta 42 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Rock Creek. She was married Feb. 8, 1911, to Charley Renfro at Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Chase, Grantville, and Mrs. Wilma Vaught, Hiawatha; two sons, Walter Renfro, Grantville, and Charles Renfro, Mayetta; a brother, William Way, 713 Wabash, Topeka; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mayetta Cemetery.
