Sam Mann, age, 18, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Mann, of 208 West street, about 4 o'clock this morning, after an illness of about three weeks. The immediate cause of death was acute diabetes.
Samuel J. Mann was born on a farm near Moran, Kansas, in 1890 and at the age of 6 years, removed with his parents to this city and has lived here since that time. He attended the public schools of this city for a number of years and finally gave up his school work to enter the Iola Bottling Works at which institution he worked as a bottler until three weeks ago when he was stricken with the disease which resulted in death. He was a member of Company M., K. N. G. which organization will have charge of the funeral services. The services will be conducted from the residence Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.
Sam Mann was a jovial youth, always looking on the bright side of life. As a member of Company M he was always willing to do his share, never complaining and was at once a favorite in this organization.
