Bio

Genealogy has been a passion of my family and passed on to me. Before the days of the internet, I remember going to libraries and looking at microfilm with my mom and grandma. Throughout my life, our family visits our loved ones every Memorial Day weekend by taking the day/weekend to honor those who we've lost and to pay respect to those who made the area our home in the past century.

Since my mom's retirement, we enjoy visiting cemeteries and updating the memorials to help connect families to their loved ones. We try to work on smaller cemeteries within SE Kansas and NE Oklahoma. As we work on areas, we try to research individuals, write bios, and connect to other family memorials.

Additionally, we have learned how to properly clean stones and techniques to obtain information without damaging the stones by taking courses with professionals. We only use approved cleaning products such as D2 which does not damage the stones. When attempted to read older stones, we like to use aluminum foil techniques instead of other methods. We take special steps to ensure we are protecting the stones and respecting the individuals.

If you wish to manage a memorial, please feel free to reach out. If you wish to no longer manage a memorial, I would be willing to help out.
