Elizabeth, or Elisia, Daigle was the daughter of Joseph Clarville Daigle and Eliza O'Pry. She was born in Church Point, Louisiana. (According to her birth entry in Southwest Louisiana Records, the birth date on her tombstone is incorrect.)

Lizzie moved from Church Point, Louisiana, to China, Texas in February 1912 with her parents and siblings. Her husband's family was also from Church Point.

Lizzie and Jack both died from the Spanish Influenza, probably on the same day. They were found dead in their home. Their year-old son, Louis, was raised by his uncle, Joseph Alcair Leger.
