"Gary Scott Cole of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in San Angelo. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, July 7 at 4:00 p.m. at 2900 FM 18, Baird, Texas 79504. For more information please call 325-854-1464. Arrangements were made by Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman, Texas.

"Gary Scott Cole was born November 1, 1946 in Coleman, Texas, the son of William Scott Cole and Daisy Lorain Barnett Cole. He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1965. He was a graduate of the University of Texas. In 1987 he married Elisabeth Gruen in Koblenz, Germany. He had lived in San Angelo since 2004. He was retired from AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service). He was an avid cyclist and a member of the Concho Valley Randonneurs. He was a Mason.

"Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth Cole of San Angelo; one son, William Peter Cole of San Angelo; his mother, Lorain Cole of Coleman; one sister, Pat Balch of Baird; an aunt, Billie Gregg of Santa Anna; cousins and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father W. S. Cole on January 13, 2003.
