Daphene graduated from Copan High School in 1962. She worked for a while at DHS in Bartlesville after graduating. She and Bennie Leverne Sroufe were married in December 1962.They made their home in Pawhuska where they ranched on the Mullendore Ranch. They later moved to the Kenwood area. Bennie preceded her in death in 1978, then she moved to Oaks in 1979 where she has lived ever since. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker who raised 3 children.
