Ann Norris Dickson Solinger was the daughter of Matthew Norris and the wife of 1) James Dickson, m. 14 Jun 1815 in Trumbull, OH; and 2) Peter Solinger, m. abt 1832. Her second husband, Peter, was a widower, whose first wife was Mary Karnes.
In the 1850 Federal Census she is shown living with her husband Peter Solinger (misspelled 'Lolinger' in some census transcriptions) in Fulton, OH. In the 1860 Census she is shown widowed, living with daughter Elizabeth Dickson Struble and other relatives.
Ann was widowed at age 29 and she was left with seven children to raise. She was assisted in this by her oldest daughter, Elizabeth, who went on to marry William Struble. Her son-in-law, William Struble, provided in his will for the purchase of the grave monument for his mother-in-law (shown in photo at left).
