Obituary of Mr. Z. M. Taylor
Z. M. Taylor, son of Michael Taylor and Sarah Scott, was born in Maysville, Mo., on May 2, 1870, one of a family of eleven children. He was married in 1892 at St. Joseph, Mo., and was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie L. Whitten, in 1933.
Pioneering in Oklahoma and Colorado, he worked at various trades, including those of blacksmith, carpenter and farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Greatly interested in youth, he raised eight children in addition to his own two girls. All who knew him remember his cheerful spirit at all times.

Mr. Taylor passed away on Feb. 10, 1956 at Colorado State hospital in Pueblo. He is survived by his two daughters, Zora Taylor of Stratton and Della N. King of New Raymer; one brother, Charley Taylor of Fairview, Okla.; two sisters, Nettie Louisa Pearson of Newkirk, Okla., and Mary Hannah Etta Shuman of Buffalo, Okla.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Hendricks Mortuary in Burlington with Rev. Paul Holland in charge. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
