Info from 1965 published Rocky Mount cemetery book, page 273. References cited at bottom of page are Joe Poole of Shreveport, Louisiana. (Joe was a son of J. L. Poole.) and Mrs. F. R. Cordone of Shreveport (She is Nannie Poole, Joe's sister who married Frank R Cordone).

In 1800 Bossier parish, James L. Poole was found married to his 1st wife Ellen with no children.
By 1900, James L. Poole was widowed living in Caddo Parish with 6 children, of which Joe and Nannie were included.
