Albert Lewis Baechler, 82, of 2207 Allentown Road, died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday in Kollmeier Nursing Home in Findlay following an extended illness. Mr. Baechler was superintendent at Woodlawn Cemetery from 1905 to 1945.

Born Aug. 20, 1880, in Lima, he was a son of Christian and Magdalina Baechler. Mr. Baechler was the third generation of his family to serve as Woodlawn superintendent.

Surviving are a son, Clarence A. of 1751 Spencerville Road; two daughters, Mrs. C. N. (Gladys) Spees of 1437 Park Drive and Mrs. George (Gertrude) Garrison of 608 S. West; a brother, C. R. Baechler of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Moore, of Sylvania; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Rev. John Berger will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Chiles and Sons - Laman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
