Christian Baechler, 84, well known Lima resident, died Saturday morning at Daytona, Florida, following an illness of six weeks, according to word received here by his son, C. R. Baechler, 413 Garfield-av.
He was the first superintendent of Woodlawn cemetery association and had always made his home in Lima, with the exception of the winters spent in Florida. He was born in Berne, Switzerland, November 17, 1831.
In addition to the son, C. R. Baechler, to whose home the body will be brought, he is survived by two other sons, Edward and Albert Baechler of Lima and one daughter, Mrs. Emma Moore, of Lima.
Funeral arrangements have to been completed.
