Martha Chapman Holt Johnson
MACON - Martha Chapman Holt Johnson, 82, of 2235 Wesleyan Drive, died Thursday, August 25, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Park Memorial United Methodist Church with the Reverends Sam Lamback and Mark Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be at 4:30P.M. in Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle. The family will greet friends at the residence anytime. Donations may be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church, Fellowship House Fund, 5290 Arkwright Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Mrs. Johnson was a faithful follower of her Lord and joyfully served him at Park Memorial United Methodist Church. She was active with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival. She was a member of NARFE and the Martha McLeod UDC in Abbeville, GA. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husbands, Ophelia Curtis Holt, Jr. and Charles William Johnson. "May the life I lived speak for me."
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald J. and Susan Holt of Ellenwood, GA, and Donald C. and Donna Holt of Centerville; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Don Moneyhan of Warner Robins; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Jeannine Chapman of Knoxville, TN, Gerald and Emily Chapman of Loudon, TN, and Derry Chapman of Macon; and sister and brother-in-law, Lena and Bernie Bean of Macon.
