Annis Virginia Joyce, 86, of 948 Moore's Mill Road in Ridgeway, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Henry County on September 5, 1924 to Robert Lee Joyce and Lucy Ann Kelly Joyce. She retired from Pannill Knitting Company after 39 years, where she was a seamstress. She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Baker, Grace Leake, Mamie Martin, Lillie Joyce and Elsie Cruise; five brothers, Luther, Everett, Thomas, Harvey and Otis Joyce.

She is survived by one brother, Edward L. Joyce of Horsepasture-Price Road, Ridgeway and several nieces and nephews, including Steve Cruise and wife, Celia of the residence at Moore's Mill Road in Ridgeway.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with Keith Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in the Joyce Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday and other times at the residence on Moore's Mill Road.
