Mrs. Laura Emerson Leffler, widow of Judge Joseph g. Leffler and mother of Judge Paul E. Leffler, died Sunday afternoon at her residence, 822 W. Charles St., after an extended illness. She was 91.

Judge Joseph Leffler, who died in May, 1932, was Delaware Circuit Court judge as is his son.

Mrs. Leffler was an active member of the Baptist Church here, beginning with the first Baptist Church located at Jackson and Jerferson streets. She later attended the church when it was at Charles and Jefferson streets and the present First Baptist Church at Jefferson and Adams streets. She was a member of the original Yoke Fellows Class at the Jackson and Jefferson streets church.

Mrs. Leffler became a resident when five years of age and attended Muncie common schools, Mrs. McRae's private school and Muncie High School. She was born in Hamburg, Ohio and was married here on Dec. 25, 1890. Her parents were Joseph and Isabelle Beck Emerson.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Anthony and Mrs. Ray Schuster, both of Muncie; four grandchildren, Mrs. William F. Pfeiffer Jr., of Huron, Ohio, Miss Nancy Jean Schuster and Joseph J. Leffler of Muncie, and Miss Ann Anthony of New York City; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meeks Mortuary. Dr. Ray C. Johnson will officiate with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Monday.
