Born in Levittown, on August 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Emma (Margerum) King.
She was an elementary school teacher in West York and in Bucks County. She was a graduate of Bristol High School and received her BS in education from West Chester State Teachers College. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Emma had great pride in her home and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Susan C. Holtzapple and her husband, Crist of Red Lion, and Beth C. Magid and her husband, Warren of York; and three grandchildren, Adam Holtzapple and his wife, Casey, Jacob Holtzapple, and Mara Novak. She was preceded in death by two infant grandchildren, Isaac Holtzapple and Kevin Novac; a brother, Joseph King, Jr. of Idaho; and a sister, Betty Burt of Mansfield.
Interment will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
