BOONEVILLE - Walter Lee Sanders Sr., 86, died Monday, July 29, 1996, at his home in Booneville after a long illness. He was the owner and operator of Sanders Radio and TV Repair Shop in Booneville, retiring after becoming disabled in 1960. He was a 100 percent disabled veteran of World War II and a member of the Booneville Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Salts Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jean Thornton officiating and Bro. Mike Eaton assisting. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Kirkpatrick Sanders of Booneville; two daughters, Lynne Smith of Littleton, Colo., and Donna McDowell of Lynn Haven, Fla.; one son, W. L. Sanders Jr. of Booneville; two sisters, Ruby Miller of Tupelo and Jean McDowell of Citra, Fla.; two brothers, Tommie Sanders of Tupelo and Hubert Sanders of New Site; six grandchildren, Jennifer Hines, David Sanders, Kayla Sanders, Ryan McDowell, Megan McDowell and Kelley Smith.

He will be honored by the U. S. Army with a full military detail from Fort McClellan, Ala.
