Viola was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Verden. She married Melton Osborne in September, 1929.
She was preceded in death by parents Fred Talkington and Rose Sawyer Spurlin; husband, Melton "Bud" Osborne; brothers, Perry Reed and Herman Talkington. She is survived by son David and wife Clara of Shawnee, OK; daughter Chiquita and John Downes of Verden, OK; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Burial is under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK.
